Thesis Editing Service for Master’s and PhD Students
Help Me Bro’s thesis editing service gives master’s and PhD students comments and feedback on a thesis they already wrote. An editor reviews your argument, structure, language and style, and you decide which comments to act on. You make every edit and stay the author.
- Scope: thesis editing, with feedback on structure, clarity, language, consistency and style guide fit
- What we need from you: your draft, word count, deadline, style guide and any program requirements
- Turnaround: 24, 48 or 72 hours
- Price: $25, $15 or $10 per 1,000 words, depending on turnaround
- Editor: Ahsan Irfan
Author: Ahsan Irfan
We edit and give feedback on work you already wrote. We never write, finish, rewrite or ghost-write any part of a thesis, and we never help text avoid AI-detection or plagiarism checks. Rules on outside editing differ by university and program, so check yours and read our academic integrity page before you start.
Why does a thesis need an editor?
A thesis is often the longest piece of writing a student has produced, and it is written over months, sometimes years. Early chapters can drift from later ones in terminology, tone and structure, and by the final draft it is hard to read your own work with fresh eyes.
An editor reads the whole document as a new reader would. We flag where an argument loses its thread, where a term changes meaning, where a paragraph repeats an earlier point and where sentences hide your meaning. Those are the problems that make a committee reader work harder than they should.
Editing is not a substitute for your advisor. Your advisor judges the research. Help Me Bro helps the writing carry that research clearly, and every change stays your decision.
How does Help Me Bro’s thesis editing work?
The thesis editing process runs in four phases, and each phase ends with something you receive and a point where you decide what happens next.
- Scope and quote. You send your draft, word count, deadline, style guide and any program requirements. Deliverable at end of phase: a quote based on word count and the turnaround you pick. Approval gate: you confirm scope and turnaround before any work begins.
- Structure and clarity review. An editor reads the whole thesis and comments on how the argument builds, how chapters connect and where the writing is unclear. Deliverable at end of phase: your document returned with comments in the margin. Approval gate: you review the comments and decide what to change.
- Language and style pass. The editor comments on grammar, wording, tone and consistency, and on where the draft departs from the style guide you gave us. Deliverable at end of phase: your document with language and style comments. Approval gate: you accept, reject or rework each comment yourself.
- Your revision. You revise in your own words and can bring questions about the comments back to us. Deliverable at end of phase: your own revised thesis. Approval gate: you decide when the draft is ready, check it against your university’s rules and submit it under your own name.
See the full process on the how it works page.
What do thesis editors look at, and why does it matter?
Thesis editors at Help Me Bro look at six things that readers and committees notice. The table shows what each one is, why it matters and how we help.
| Requirement | Why it matters | How we help |
|---|---|---|
| A clear research question and thesis statement | Readers judge every chapter against what you said you would do | We comment where the question or claim is unclear or shifts between chapters |
| Logical chapter structure | A committee follows your argument chapter by chapter | We flag gaps, repetition and weak transitions for you to fix |
| Consistent terms and voice | Changing terminology confuses readers about what you mean | We note where terms, tense or tone change across the document |
| Clear sentences and correct language | Unclear writing hides good research | We comment on grammar, wording and sentence clarity |
| Citation and reference consistency | Inconsistent citations look careless and are hard to check | We flag mismatches against your style guide, such as APA |
| Formatting to your program’s rules | Many graduate schools check format before they read content | We give feedback on departures from your template, and offer formatting feedback separately |

Does thesis editing differ for master’s and PhD students?
The process is the same, but the emphasis changes with the length and purpose of your thesis. Tell us which one you are writing when you request a quote.
Master’s thesis editing
A master’s thesis is shorter, so editors can focus on the clarity of your research question, how your chapters connect and how well your writing meets your program’s format. Our guide on master’s thesis vs dissertation explains how the two documents differ.
PhD thesis editing
A PhD thesis is longer and has more moving parts. Editors pay closer attention to consistency across many chapters, to how your contribution is framed and to terminology that shifts over a long writing period. If your program calls the document a dissertation, see dissertation editing.
Professional doctorates
If you are working on a DBA, EdD or DNP project, we can give writing feedback on your document. For guidance on the project itself, see applied doctorate coaching. Multilingual writers can also look at ESL academic editing.
Who edits your thesis?
Ahsan Irfan is the founder of Help Me Bro and edits every thesis. He holds an MS in Finance from the University of the Punjab. Engineering and medical or health-science editing are outside our current scope, and we will say so honestly in your quote. Read his editor profile.
Where does the thesis go after editing?
Many students want to publish part of their thesis. Once your thesis is final, our dissertation to journal article service can give feedback as you turn a chapter into an article. If you want to browse every option, see all academic editing services.
Thesis editing FAQ
Is it allowed to hire a thesis editor?
Rules differ by university, program and committee, so check your institution’s policy before you hire an editor. Some programs ask you to disclose editing help, and some limit what an editor may change. Help Me Bro gives comments and feedback only, and you make every edit. Read whether dissertation editing is allowed and our academic integrity page.
Who owns my thesis after editing?
You do. Your thesis, ideas, findings and wording remain yours, because Help Me Bro gives comments and you make every edit. We do not write sections or claim authorship.
Is my thesis kept confidential, and do you use AI?
Unpublished research deserves care. Confidentiality terms, file storage and retention, and any use of AI tools in our workflow are being confirmed. Help Me Bro never uses AI to write your work for submission. Read our privacy policy and AI policy, and ask us if anything is unclear.
What is your refund policy?
Refund terms are being finalized and will appear on our refunds page. Until then, please ask for the current terms when you request a quote, so you know what to expect before you order. We will not promise a refund outcome before the policy is final.
How long does thesis editing take?
Turnaround depends on the option you choose: 24-hour, 48-hour or 72-hour delivery. Faster delivery costs more per 1,000 words, at $25, $15 and $10 respectively. Tell us your deadline when you request a quote, and we will confirm which option fits. See the pricing page for the rates.
Are revisions or follow-up rounds included?
Revision and follow-up terms are being finalized. Please ask about them when you request a quote. Until the terms are confirmed, we will not promise a number of feedback rounds. You can see the stages of a project on the how it works page.
Which disciplines do you cover?
Engineering and medical or health-science editing are outside Help Me Bro’s current scope, and we will say so honestly in your quote. Send your abstract or a sample page with your quote request so we can confirm fit before you pay.
What will the editor not change?
Editors do not change your research question, findings, data, analysis or conclusions, and do not write new content. We comment on how clearly they are expressed, and you make every edit. For the full list, read our guide on what editors can change. We also do not help text avoid AI-detection or plagiarism checks.
Can I get a guarantee that my thesis will pass?
No. Help Me Bro cannot promise a pass, a grade or any committee decision, because those belong to your advisor and committee. We can help your writing read clearly and consistently. We also cannot predict how any AI-detection or plagiarism checker will score your work. Our guide on AI detection explains why.
How do I get started?
Send your word count, deadline, style guide and a short description of your thesis through the quote form. We will confirm scope, turnaround and your total before any work begins. If you want to see what comments look like first, browse our samples.
