Help Me Bro FAQ: Questions About Academic Editing, Scope and Pricing
Most questions about Help Me Bro come down to three things: who is reading your paper, what that person will and will not do with it, and what it costs. The answers below cover all three. If yours is missing, the quote form is the quickest way to ask.
About the service
What are Ahsan’s qualifications?
Ahsan Irfan has an MS in Finance from the University of the Punjab. He does not hold a PhD, and this page makes no claims beyond that degree. His editor profile has the details that are confirmed and published.
Is Help Me Bro a company with a staff of editors?
No. Help Me Bro is a one-person practice. There are no other editors, statisticians or reviewers working behind the scenes. When a page says “I” or names Ahsan, that is literally who is doing the work on your paper.
What kinds of documents can I send?
Dissertations, theses, journal manuscripts and similar academic papers, plus admissions essays and career documents. Start with the academic editing overview, or browse admissions, publication support and resume writing.
Scope and integrity
Can you help my paper get past AI or plagiarism detectors?
No, and Ahsan will not help with that in any form. The service exists to help you improve your own writing, not to disguise how it was produced. If you are unsure where the line sits, the academic integrity page sets it out in more detail.
Pricing and turnaround
Why does a faster turnaround cost more?
A 24-hour deadline means setting other work aside and reading your paper immediately, so the rate is higher than for the 48- or 72-hour options. If your deadline has some room, choosing a longer window lowers the per-1,000-word rate considerably, which can matter on a full dissertation.
What about live sessions?
Live sessions, meaning calls, are priced after the scope is agreed, since the right length depends on what you want to work through. There is no standard hourly rate to quote here. Tell Ahsan what you need on the quote form and you will get a figure before anything begins.
How the process works
How do I get a quote?
Use the quote page and give three things: your word count, your deadline and the file itself. A reply follows with what can be done for that paper. If it falls in engineering or medical or health sciences, you will be told plainly at that point.
Do I need to know my exact word count?
A close figure is enough for a quote, and your word processor will give you one in seconds. Include references and appendices in your note if you want them reviewed, since that changes the total. Attaching the file lets the number be checked against the document itself.
Where can I see the whole process step by step?
The How It Works page walks through the process from first message to returned file. If you are still deciding what you need, the editing guides cover dissertations, APA formatting and choosing an editor.
Who will actually read my paper?
One person: Ahsan Irfan, who founded Help Me Bro and is its only editor. Nobody else reads your file, and nobody is matched to your paper behind the scenes. You can read more on the About page or his editor profile.
Which subjects do you work in?
Papers in every field except two: engineering and medical or health sciences. Those are declined honestly when you request a quote, so you do not pay for a review that cannot be done well. Everything else, from the humanities to business and the social sciences, is open for a quote.
Will you write or rewrite parts of my paper?
No. Ahsan does not write, rewrite, ghost-write or draft any content for clients. He reads what you wrote and responds with margin comments and suggestions. If a section is weak, he tells you why, and you decide how to fix it. The words on the page stay yours.
How do the comments and tracked changes work?
Feedback arrives in your document as Word track changes and margin comments. Nothing is applied for you. You open the file, read each note, and accept, adapt or reject it yourself. Because you make every change, you remain the author of the finished paper.
How much does editing cost?
Pricing is per 1,000 words and depends on how fast you need the file back. A 24-hour turnaround is $25, 48 hours is $15, and 72 hours is $10. A 10,000-word chapter on the 72-hour option would therefore be $100.
Who sees the file I send?
Only Ahsan reads it. Your file is not passed to anyone else, and no one else works on it.
Files and confidentiality basics
What file format should I send?
A Word document works best, because comments and tracked changes live naturally inside it, and you can then work through them in the same file. Attach it through the quote form along with your word count and deadline.
